This was the month about Wild Animals. We had been talking about Lions and Cheetahs, Deers and Hippos – their habitat, food, physical features like their color, footprints, fleece etc. But no learning is complete without involving some paints in it 😉

So we brought together our plastic animals and paints. I joined 2 tables length wise and placed a long strip of sheet on it. I pasted it to the table with some tape, so that it din’t move while kids worked on it. On one end I placed the plastic animals and the paint in a dish. The texture of paint was not too thin nor too thick, just right to form proper footprints. I used green and brown paint – related to forest.

The kids couldn’t wait to get started. So, as soon as the table was set, they went off to work !!

It was loads of fun!!! some kids even raced their animals to the end of the sheet !!!

The kids had a ball painting footprints on the sheet and I just relaxed and watched them all having fun !!

You can also try this at home with your little one !!
