Mini Christmas Tree

Mini Christmas Tree Craft – This is a cute little activity I saw on pinterest some time back.

I thought of doing this with my son, as I believe it will help in enhancing the imagination and creativity of a child.

I set up the table with all the stuff required to make it look inviting to the kiddo, and decided to join him in the activity. We both sat down after lunch and created these little trees.

Here are the details of what is required and how we made these little Christmas Trees.

Materials Required:

  • Green/ white chart paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Scissors
  • Glue/ Fevicol
  • Ice Cream Sticks
  • Playdough

Materials for decorating the trees:

  • Mini stickers in various shapes – star, heart, crystals, etc.
  • Mini Pompoms

Procedure:

1. Firstly, I cut out the shape of a Christmas tree from a green chart paper. Alternatively, you can simply cut out small triangles.

2. Now, let the child decorate the Christmas tree as she/ he wants to. You can help them and guide them. But I prefer that the kids take their own decisions here.

3. Now give the ice-cream sticks to the kid to be colored in brown. This forms the trunk of the tree.

4. Once the tree and trunk are done, stick the ice cream stick on the back of the tree with glue and/ or cellotape.

5. Finally, make a small ball with the playdough. Now, place the tree in the middle of it.

You can place these mini Christmas trees on your kid’s study table, office table. Furthermore, you can make it a center piece of the dining table.

We had loads of fun doing this activity. Hope the same for you too.
