Pirate Cap & Eye Patch

So we had a playdate at home and I set up a pirate themed treasure hunt play for the kiddos.

After setting up everything, I had little time before my kid’s friend arrived. So I set out to make some Pirate accessories – Pirate cap and eye patch. They were very easy to make. Here are the tutorials:

1. Pirate Eye Patch

Material Required –

black chart paper, tape, scissors & thread/ string/ yarn, Crayon/ Paint/ Glitter Pen

PIRATE

Method –

Cut the eye patch shape as shown in the figure. Take the string and measure your child’s head and leave some length for tying. Cut the piece of the string as per your measurement and paste it on the eye patch with cellotape as shown.

The placement of the eyepatch on the string should be on a little sideways from the centre as it is to cover one eye. Lastly, decorate it with crayons/ glitter pens and it is done!

3. Now cut a strip of the chart paper whose circumference should be same as that of your child’s head. Staple the ends to form a band.

4. Now on the back sides of the 2 pieces of the cap, apply some glue/ fevicol to paste the band in between.
